Rockcastle resident fulfills dream with ride in cherry red Corvette

By Lorinda T. Fletcher, QOL Director, Rockcastle Health & Rehab

I can’t explain the joy it was to see Ms. Maxine Bryant take her joyride in a red convertible. It was wonderful to see the sparkle in her eye the moment she saw the 1965 red Corvette pull up. Her daughter Rhonda Bryant was even more excited to see her mom have her sparkle back!
We drove to her home in Crab Orchard, and to the lake for a few photos. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. We couldn’t have done it without a wonderful group of caring people. Dale Winstead, the owner of Appliance Service Center Mount Vernon, KY, offered the beautiful 1965 red Corvette. Tammy and Bill Sowder, owners of Tammy Sowder Photography, donated the time and talent to take beautiful memories for Ms. Bryant and her family to enjoy for years to come!
Funny how one simple request can make a dream come true! I’m honored to have been a part in it.
